@deeefense….
Absolut richtig gesehen…
Also kurz gesagt, we are working on “Shot-Recognition” and “The Courage to take Shots” and “Finishing”…

@TDuck …… “Ergebniskorrektur” … ??? 43-Sekunden … 6 Punkte Rueckstand … Seite Einwurf im Vorfeld… das nennst du Ergebniskorrektur … “Really” …???
Looking at the Video … It could have been tied with 11 Seconds to go if…!!!
And then you will come back with … You can use “If and when” to explain this and that…and you are probably correct … On the other hand … Wake up… Life is all about “if” …
As I have said before… I am happy to talk “Basketball” with anyone who asks… but… then sometimes I ask myself if it’s worth the energy…

A Different kind of Basketball … One of the Offensive Systems used in Gruenberg has its roots in Pete Carrill’s Princeton Offense. Before I get into the details, I want to first defend and commend the players in Gruenberg. They have “allowed” themselves to be coached and they have bought into the systems. I say that because it also highlights the problems I see in today’s game and explains why the players have difficulty and sometimes look confused. All things considered, I think these young ladies have done a great job in a short time… New Coach, new Team, new Systems and a completely different style of playing basketball… It takes time for this type of basketball to work… Real Basketball Junkies will remember that, a couple of years ago,the Lakers tried to implement a variation of the Princeton Offense … It did not work and the coach lost his job after a short time… Why… because the players did not buy into the system. One of the reasons for that is today’s players are “Me” Players… It’s about what can I do when I have the ball … and I can only accomplish something when “I” have the ball. Today’s game does not evolve around “Moving without the Ball” … In today’s game, the individual skills of the players is more important than his team skills. That brings us to “Princeton” … Pete Carrill designed his Offense for a team of very smart young men who lacked the physical attributes of his opponents at the NCAA Division-I Basketball Level. He knew that his players could not out-run or out-jump the players at UCLA, Georgetown, Louisville etc… but he felt that his players could out-smart those players if they played his style of basketball… By the way, there is a “new” system going around in the USA called the “Read-and-React” Basketball System … and it is rapidly gaining popularity… It’s based on the same concept. Anyway…If Gruenberg’s players sometimes look lost … it’s because they are. They are not used to moving without the ball… They are not accustomed to having five to ten options every time the ball is passed… and they are certainly not used to being told, if you have a scoring opportunity take it … and yet as I said … I think they have done a great job …despite having almost no opportunity to work on their systems in a 5-on-5 setting … Now… to the Offense itself… You said that there are no screens … (wrong) … There are generally “No Screens on the Ball” because I don’t believe in bringing a second defender to the ball… Now if you are a real “Pick-and-Roll” Fan, then you don’t agree with that… It’s just a different philosophy …mine is based on experience as a player and as a coach… I simply don’t feel good about “Pick-and-Roll” Basketball… My System is designed to create space for the player with the ball to 1) have a shot … 2) create a shot for himself … 3) make a easy pass to another player … While this is going on, the other players are screening for each other and either cutting to the basket or cutting to open areas for shots… and there are many, many options … It is not an offense that can be learned in one practice and it takes time to get comfortable with… today’s game …like everything else is about “Instant Gratification” …in other words…" I want it and I want it now"… My systems are not like that … and not everyone understands, likes or believes in this “stuff” … as for me, it’s mine and I love it. I enjoy teaching it and especially enjoy watching it work. I think that most of the players, who have played for me, enjoy playing this way and many have gone on to be successful with other teams and other coaches. I have had coaches tell me that they have rarely had players who move better without the ball than some player that came to them out of my system… If it sounds like I am proud, you are right… I am … and If you have a team of young players who are not super athletes and you want your players to be able to compete against teams that might be “bigger-faster stronger”… then maybe you should book one of my clinics for your team… You just might end up thinking differently about how Gruenberg plays…

The Weapon of Choice here seems to be “statistics” … so I will simply respond in kind… You may not like my systems… that’s your perogative. But don’t be so disdainful of things that you have little knowledge of. I’ll just leave that hanging in the air for you to do whatever you wish with… The point here is… you choose to call what Gruenberg did “Chaos”… You also stated that Krofdorf did something different in jedem Angriff… Really? Without going any further … I will simply go back to your level and use statistics… Let’s not change anything else… let’s say that everything else that “you say Gruenberg did wrong” went exactly the same … but instead of the a 36% FG Percentage and 35% FT Percentage … they had made 45% of their shots and 80% of their FT … How might the game have ended…Just a thought … Coach Ingram

Okay… Ein “letzte” Kommentar…
Lies bitte meine Antwort… -
@ ettibnetkaf …. This is almost too easy…
We don’t set Blocks in Offense… ReallyQuestion … Who has a better chance to score? a player coming out of a “Pick-and-Roll” Situation … or a Player coming of a Screen off the Ball? … Think about it… study some offenses and defenses… look at some tape …then ask the coaches who play Gruenberg how easy it is to defend their offenses… just because you do it different does not make it better…
Okay… no matter what you decide to do I will not get back into this conversation…
You guys can continue to hide behind your fake names and pretend to know this game. You can continue to criticize everything that the coaches do. You can do anything you want but if you want to attack my methods, then back it up with first-hand knowledge and facts. Have a nice day and Merry Christmas… Ritz

If we are worried that someone can’t be fair as a ref in these games…then why should we believe that he/she can be fair in any game…
Ritz IngramNebenbei gesagt: …
