Euroleague 2004/05 mit internationaler TV-Präsenz

Sogecable, owner of Canal+ and Digital+, has acquired from Telefonica the worldwide audio-visual, sponsorship and licensing rights of the Euroleague. This agreement will remain in effect until the end of the 2004/05-Season. Sogecable has initiated negotiations with different television companies to guarantee the maximum coverage possible, not only in countries with teams taking part in the Euroleague, but also worldwide. The best European basketball competition hosts 24 teams from 13 different countries: Spain (4), Italy (4), Greece (3), France (2), Slovenia (2), Turkey (2), Serbia and Montenegro (1), Croatia (1), Israel (1), Russia (1), Germany (1), Lithuania (1) and Poland (1). The biggest event of the competition is the Final Four, which will take place this season in Tel Aviv, from April 29 to May 01. The top four teams in the Euroleague will dispute the Final Four in a format of semifinals and final.

Sogecable was founded in 1989, and is the leading pay-per-view TV company in Spain, as well as the third in Europe, and pioneered the introduction of digital television and interactive services to the Spanish telecommunications market.
