Pucki am 26.02.2010 um 12:14

Another thriller in a Top 16 full of them rewarded a Week 4 MVP, Jamont Gordon of Cibona Zagreb, whose team has otherwise had some of the hardest luck in the round. The 94-97 road win by Olympiacos at Cibona produced the second-most points in any Euroleague game far this season and saddled the hosts with their third three-point loss in a row. Fortunately for the fans in Zagreb, however, the shootout also brought out the best in Gordon, who was unstoppable while amassing a performance index rating of 40, tied for the fourth-best all season. Against the only undefeated team left in the Top 16, Gordon poured in 32 points on 4 of 6 three-point shooting to go along with 5 rebounds, 4 assists, 2 steals, a block and 11 fouls drawn. Following Gordon in second place was Keith Langford of Khimki Moscow Region, who registered an index rating of 27 in his team's home loss to Caja Laboral. Langford had 27 points on 9-of-12 two-point shooting plus 5 rebounds, 3 assists and 5 fouls drawn. Trajan Langdon of CSKA Moscow and Milos Teodosic of Olympiacos tied for third this week with index ratings of 26 each. Langdon had 20 points, 6 rebounds and 5 fouls drawn in his team's road loss at Asseco Prokom. Teodosic had 22 points on 5-of-8 three-point shooting and 6 assists to lead Olympiacos to its big road win in Zagreb. Mirza Teletovic of Laboral, with a 25 index, completed the top individual performances of the week by pacing his team to the road win against Khimki.

Individual highs: Mario Kasun of Efes Pilsen, 13 rebounds

Gordon was also the best scorer in Top 16, Week 4 with 32 points against Olympiacos. He now leads the Top 16 with 21 points per game, edging teammate Marko Tomas (20.5 ppg.) for the top spot. Linas Kleiza of Olympiacos is the full season scoring leader with an average of 16.9 points per game. Mario Kasun of Efes Pilsen led all players this week by pulling down 13 rebounds in his team's home win against Maccabi Electra Tel Aviv. Lawrence Roberts of Partizan leads the Top 16 rebounds table at 9.5 per night, while Travis Watson of Zalgiris is the full season leader with 9.9 boards per game. The previous weekly MVP, Terrell McIntyre of Montepaschi, dished 7 assists to lead the week's standings. He ranks first in the Top 16 with 5.5 per game, while Theo Papaloukas of Olympiacos has the best full-season average, 6.6 assists. Leon Radosevic of Cibona collected 4 steals, more than anyone else this week. McIntyre leads the Top 16 steals table with 3 per game, while Mindaugas Lukauskis of Asvel Basket is the full season leader (2.3 spg.). D'or Fischer of Maccabi Electra had 3 blocks, the best total this week. He is first overall, at 2.3 per game, in the Top 16, but second for the season behind Slavko Vranes (1.7 bpg.) of Partizan. Kasun, with 14 points and 13 rebounds, and Erazem Lorbek of Regal FC Barcelona - who had 10 points and 10 rebounds in a victory at Panathinaikos - were the only players to register double-doubles this week.
