2009-10 TV workshop for Euroleague host broadcasters a success

The 2009-10 TV workshop for Euroleague host broadcasters was held in Barcelona, Spain on Wednesday, September 23. A total of 19 representatives of 11 different television companies participated in the seminar including broadcasters from Spain, Turkey, France and Israel.

Building on a tradition of cooperation between Euroleague Basketball and the official television stations that broadcast the top European competitions, the seminar aims to improve the Euroleague Basketball television product in all its different aspects.

The 2009-10 broadcasting manual, the presentation of the new TV graphics and style guide for the 2009-10 season, and a debate about the high-quality philosophy - specifically 16:9 and HD formats - were some of the agenda items of the TV seminar.

The closing activity was a visit to the offices of Euroleague Basketball TV partner Mediapro, where all highlights of the competition are produced and distributed to more than 60 TV channels around the world.

"I would like to thank all the attendees for coming and sharing their valuable experiences in the TV area," Mr. Andrea Bassani, Euroleague Basketball Director of Television, stated. "This is the third year in a row that we gather with our TV broadcasters to debate the future and share our experiences with the goal of giving the best TV product possible to all our fans."
